PARISH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2023

This will be held on Sunday 28 May (Youth Mass) to try and encourage more people to attend. There will be Mass that Sunday at 10.30m which will be followed by the AGM. There will be Mass at 12.15pm.

Reports will be requested from the various groups for presentation at the AGM. There is a need for new members to be elected to the PPC and anyone interested should speak to Fr. Dominic. A notice to this effect will be in the newsletter.

RETREAT AND CONFESSION

DATE: 10th June 2023

TIME: 10:30-12 NOON

This retreat cum confession is for our seven children preparing for First Holy Communion

First Holy Communion

On Sunday, 11th of June, seven of our children will receive their First Holy Communion at 10:30 Mass, followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. We ask you to keep them and their families in your prayers. This is going to be a decisive moment in their Christian Life, and we pray that they may be sanctified by the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Christ.

FATHER’S DAY MASS

This is an opportunity to celebrate our Parish Fathers in a special way for their contributions in our various families and above all in the Parish.

PARISH FETES

On Saturday, 12th of August. This will be an opportunity for the Parish to gather and celebrate together again after covid. This will be held between 1pm and 4pm.

DIOCESE OF ABERDEEN – PILGRIMAGE TO PLUSCARDEN ABBEY

Sunday 25 June 2023

Theme: Altar Servers

1.00pm – Exposition in the Lady Chapel until 2.30pm

1.00pm – Individual confessions in the parlours at St. Benedict’s Retreat until 2.30pm

3.00pm – Principal Mass of the day followed by a Marian procession to the garden facing

St. Benedict’s Retreat, accompanied by hymns and devotions.

At the conclusion of the Mass, which will be led by Bishop Hugh Gilbert, there will be a Marian

procession to the garden in front of St. Benedict’s Retreat, weather permitting that is.

WORLD YOUTH DAY (25th JULY- 7th AUGUST)

Four of our young adults will take part in this event. We keep them in our prayers, and we hope this event will deepen their Catholic faith.

SUMMER BIBLE ACTIVITIES 2023

This will take place on Saturday 12th August from 2pm-5pm followed by a family picnic.  There will be arts and crafts, singing and games based on the theme ‘The Good Shepherd’ for Primary School aged children. Pre-School children are also welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. If interested, please take a leaflet, and return the completed form to the box in the church porch on or before Sunday 25th June.  Anyone who can help please contact Jandy, Allison, Michele, or Columba.

PREPARATION FOR FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2024

Are you planning to enrol your child (8years and above) here in Saint Ninians? The Catechism classes begin on the 29th of August 2023, time: 17:30. Please do speak to any of the Parish Catechists or Fr. Dominic for further details.
